is designed to simplify manoeuvring control of the yachts with complicated propulsion configuration having a lot of throttles and levers.

Overview

System features manual control of engines and thrusters with single joystick as well as automatic position keeping.
Despite having same functionality and operation philosophy, JP4000 is not a full scale dynamic positioning system. It is designed to be operated by skipper offering much more simple control comparing to DP.

We delivered our first system to Christensen Shipyard in 2008 for 50m custom yacht Remember When, equipped with a traditional propulsion consisting of main fixed pitch propellers, rudders, bow tunnel and additional stern azimuth thruster.

Since than we help to get the control over the intricate propulsion back to the captain on board of yachts and shadow vessels from 24m and up to 100m length, mono and multihulls. We have experience with controlled and fixed pitch propellers, direct diesel drive, hybrid and diesel-electric propulsion, tunnel and azimuth thrusters, water and pump jets.

System highlights

The minimal propulsion configuration is 2 propellers with 2 rudders and a bow thruster. Same time it is necessary to mention that system is not a magic stick and performance depends heavily on boat and propulsion design. Operation modes

Joystick manual

Boat will follow your commands set with the joystick, heading is controlled by twisting the joystick. jp manual mode.png

Joystick auto heading

Boat will follow your commands set with the joystick while set heading would be kept automatically. jp auo heading mode.png

Hold position

System will keep both heading and position automatically.

Auto

CTS pilot

Track
