Northern Survey fleet was replenished with one more vessel equipped with Navis NavDP control system. The Northern Karoline is Northern Survey’s first ship and was originally built as a whaler in a shipyard in Glasgow, Scotland in 1950. She is the third vessel in Northern survey fleet equipped with Navis NavDP control system.

In 2020, the Northern Karoline underwent an extensive refit, including a completely new accommodation, with installation of new propulsion and thrusters control systems and Dynamic positioning control system. It was a challenging job due to the age of the vessel but in close cooperation with our Danish partner HE Marine it was successfully done in very tight schedule. The vessel successfully passed sea trials and had been handed over to happy owner recently.
After refit
After refit the vessel able to perform Geophysical seabed mapping, Geotechnical sampling, ROV operations, Environmental assignments with high accuracy thanks to the wide range of automatic and semi-automatic modes in Navis NavDP control system.
