DP SafeWatch: successful presentation of prototype

Navis proudly informs that it has successfully presented the prototype of DP SafeWatch software to Bourbon Marine & Logistics (BML) and has proved its compliance with specifications.
The development continues in order to achieve all goals required for the pilot installation onboard Bourbon OSV. This deployment is expected in 2020.
DP SafeWatch is a decision support tool for DP operators of Offshore fleet. The solution is being developed in collaboration between BML and Navis Engineering Oy.
The primary task of the new tool is to prevent collisions between vessels and offshore installations. DP SafeWatch provides operator with information necessary for safe maneuvering and takes into account environment and the status of the essential DP equipment. All limits applicable for the performed task and operation area are closely monitored by the tool.
